Abstract
For women to reach their full potential, their right to equal pay must be protected. In my research, I defined wage equally according to European law, i.e. the right to equal pay for equal work or work of equal value. My study focused on case C-624/19 of Tesco Stores. My aim was to understand the effects of the preliminary ruling of the European Court of Justice regarding the case, studying the annual reports of the company from 2018 to 2023 and investigating in what way the specific case further affected the European legislation regarding the topic of wage cap.
