The present study has therefore focused on how the involvement of college students in social media and academic platforms relates to their academic performance. In the paper, we have analyzed how these technologies influence academic collaboration, knowledge dissemination, and student societal involvement. Evidence indicates the existence of a positive relationship between the use of social media and increased academic confidence, with a compromise on diversion from learning. The study conclusively identifies, and policy should be adapted and developed toward, enhanced digital literacy programs in place to maximize educational results.
